Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 17, 2026
Dropped is a virtual reality game for Meta Quest made by Nullset (nullset.studio) ("we"). This policy explains what the game and its online services collect, why, and what you can do about it. We collect as little as we can: there are no ads, no analytics SDKs and no tracking across apps.
What we collect
- Your Meta account ID and display name. The game receives these from the Meta Platform when you play online. We use them to show your name on leaderboards and to your duel opponent. If the game can't reach the Meta Platform, it creates a random guest ID on your headset instead.
- Your guesses and scores in the Daily Challenge. For each round we store the location you pinned, the distance and the points, so the server can score you fairly and rank the leaderboard.
- Your Meta friends list (IDs only), when you open a leaderboard. The game sends your friends' Meta IDs with the request so the server can show which friends finished today's challenge. We don't store this list.
- Duel data, while a duel is running. Your ID, display name, guesses and health are held in memory for the duel and are not kept afterwards.
- A one-time proof from Meta that confirms your account ID. We check it with Meta and don't store it.
- Technical request data. Our server runs on Cloudflare, which processes IP addresses and request metadata to deliver and protect the service. We don't use this data to identify you.
What stays on your headset
Settings, your guest ID if you have one, how many free games you've played today and your Daily Challenge progress are stored locally on your Quest and never leave it.
Third parties
- Meta provides sign-in, friends, invites and purchases. Purchases are handled entirely by Meta; we never see your payment details. See the Meta Quest privacy policy.
- Panoramax serves the 360° photos and OpenStreetMap (or our map tile provider) serves map images. Your headset requests these directly, so those services see your IP address like any website would.
- Cloudflare hosts our game server.
We don't sell your data or share it with advertisers.
How long we keep it
Daily Challenge guesses and scores are kept for up to 12 months so past leaderboards stay consistent, then deleted. Duel data is discarded when the duel ends.
Your choices and rights
You can play Classic mode without your scores being sent anywhere. You can ask us to see or delete the data linked to your Meta account ID at any time by emailing hello@nullset.studio. Depending on where you live (for example in the EU, UK or California) you have further rights, including to object to processing and to complain to your data protection authority. Our legal basis for processing is providing the game you asked to play (contract) and keeping it fair and secure (legitimate interest).
Children
Dropped follows Meta's age requirements for Quest accounts. We don't knowingly collect data from children under 13; if you think a child's data reached us, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy we'll update the date above, and for significant changes we'll say so in the game or on the store page.
